News: January 2007It's been a bit quiet around Narodni towers of late but we do have an excellent session from October that is currently being cut and polished. Some of that in the coming months, I would guess. Not so quiet around the Narodni Trida Myspace page where we've been discovering a host of like-minded bands and leeching out new tracks. In the meantime here's something from April - a moody piece of post-rock dubbing called The Return; and some abstract looning that demands to be known as The Sad Robot. Enjoy. --News: April 2006Long time since we've posted anything but here is a new track from March. It's a winding number that mutates into a groovy little Krautrocker with some adroit guitartronics. It's called 'Tatra T-87'. Enjoy and don't forget to friend us up at our Myspace page. More things soon... -- News: November 2005So, of course, like everyone else we're on MySpace.com. We've been there for a while but didn't put any pictures or songs on. We have now. Oh yes. Visit us at MySpace and add us as a friend. We've put an exclusive version of 'Motorik' there too, so it's well worth the trek... -- News: October 2005Various commitments and the heady pace of modern life have meant a couple of sub-Trida configurations over the last month, rather than fully-fledged diary-busting get-togethers. Cambridge witnessed a Narodni Trio session and there was even a Narodni Duo session in Birmingham. The trio session in Cambridge's least salubrious rehearsal space yielded these rather nice pieces. More from the various sessions to follow.
Becomes Spring (MP3, 3:22, 3.2mb).
News: July 2005Fairly quiet for the last few weeks with just a Narodni Trio session at the end of June which yielded this abstract piece 8.15 (MP3, 4:11, 5.8mb). You can also now find us - along with lots of other good stuff - on MySpace. -- News: June 2005We're delighted to have been commissioned by US photographer Liz Dembrowsky for the use of our track Exhibitionism (MP3, 6:50, 6.3mb) to promote her show at the Firehouse Gallery in July. You can read more about Liz's photography on her Graffito website. And, of course, the Exhibitionism CD is still available to buy. -- News: April/May 2005We've uploaded a couple of exclusive tracks to the MP3s page. They're live, rehearsal recordings made with a single microphone (a good microphone though) straight down to minidisc. No overdubs, one mic, no edits - both are spontaneous compositions. Hope you like them.
Untitled #1 (2005-04-09) (6:33, 4.6mb)
Untitled #2 (2005-04-09) (8:42, 6.1mb) -- PS. The amazing Australian three-piece The Necks are playing London, Brighton and Newcastle in May. They are outstanding on record and reportedly even better live. We recommend you check them out. -- News: March 2005
The 'In Motion' EP is available for purchase via this site and there are MP3s available to sample too. News: February 2005
The EP is available for purchase by mailorder now. Each copy comes in a lavish hand-crafted package with individual art card and the initial copies feature a bonus, hidden track. News: January 2005The new EP is currently being finalised and will be available from the Albums & EPs section in next few weeks. It features the full-length version of 'Nadrazi Holesovice' plus three new tracks recorded towards the end of 2004. We've also recently found a home on Download.com and our tracks have been receiving a healthy number of downloads over the last ten days. If you visit the site, you can download full versions of three tracks from the 'Exhibitionism' CD and, of course, rate our music. News: December 2004We have been asked for permission to use one of the tracks on Exhibitionism in a film and will provide full details of the track and the film once it's all done and dusted. A new EP is currently being completed and will be available from the Albums & EPs section in January. -- -- (c) Narodni Trida 2004-2009 |
